What are QR Codes?

Barcodes. They've been with us for decades, and are used for product pricing and identification. They are one-dimensional - bars of varying width but the same from top to bottom. They can store a maximum of 20 characters.

QR or Quick Response codes, are two-dimensional and are capable of handling several hundred times more information than barcodes. Using QR codes allows for enough information to represent the longest URL (Universal Resource Locator) or web page address that exists today. There is no fee for their use.

What can you do with them?

Here are some ideas.

Place QR Codes next to items you have for sale. Have a video associated with a QR code for a demonstration of the product. Put how-to videos on YouTube for instructions on assembly. Have an interview with the producer of the product showing them making it.

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Customers can get information when they want it, not just when you are open.

Enter contests!

Your customers can enter themselves in promotions, get specific discounts, be eligible for giveaways.

Track your QR Code Use

Litho Services can make you a QR Code that can be tracked for you. Our QR+ program can tell you how many times the code is scanned and if we generate it on mailing labels, we can email you with the user's name and phone number in real time, so that you will be able to contact your customer when they've shown interest.

Phone? PHONE!

Your QR Code can contain your phone number - when scanned by a smartphone, the customer doesn't even have to enter your number to call you.

Text Message, too?

Yes, your QR code can be programmed to send an SMS message to whatever phone number you'd like, including a predetermined message.
